Community Office Hours
Have you been curious to know more about acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine but haven’t known where to look? Feel free to come to one of my Community Office Hour sessions where I’ll spend about 30 minutes per month answering any and all of your questions. You are welcome to attend in person or via the Zoom link below. Sessions are held on the first Thursday of the month at 1:30pm.
Fees:
New Patient Appointment (75-90 min): $200
Established Patient Appointment (50-60 min): $140
Insurance:
I am not an in-network insurance provider. However, I am an approved provider for:
MVA (motor vehicle accident)
PIP (personal injury protection)
I am currently considered an out-of-network provider for all other insurance companies.
Why am I not contracted with insurance?
I like the flexibility of offering accessible treatments to diverse communities and if I'm contracted with an insurance company I'm stuck following inflexible fee structures.
Xander is dedicated to assisting you with your health concerns and will not refuse patients due to monetary concerns.
If you are in need of care and would struggle financially to pay my normal rate, please ask me and I’m happy to offer you a sliding scale for a period of time.
Want to bill your insurance company for an out-of-network benefit?
How to submit for a medical reimbursement from your insurance carrier:
Contact your insurance provider to find out if acupuncture is a covered out-of-network benefit.
Look up your annual deductible amount for out-of-network providers. It can often differ from your annual in-network deductible amount.
Utilize your FSA/HSA to max out tax savings.
After you've completed payment for a treatment, you can submit a superbill to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement.
Parking:
There are four parking spots located on the east side of the building in the alley. Please feel free to park here for your appointment if you need to avoid using the stairs due to mobility issues. Otherwise, there is ample free street parking California Ave SW and SW Brandon St.
